Categorized as a ‘Big Urban’ School District, Toledo Public Schools faced the daunting task of replacing and remodeling aging school buildings. The district received more “bang for their buck” by taking advantage of cost savings through the implementation of a centralized Network Operations Center (NOC).
Challenge: To minimize costs and prevent disparate, redundant systems throughout the district; to provide a safe environment for students and staff; to enrich the classroom environment with technology that is proven to aid student learning
Solution: Centralized Network Operations Center (NOC) designed by TSI, Inc; TSI’s ‘Classroom of the Future” design
Results: Systems in each school are compatible with the NOC, so costs are shared and therefore reduced through economies of scale; improved safety and security through the use of IP cameras, wireless phones, and facility access management; enhanced audio and visual instruction encourages student participation and increases performance.
